Fried Chicken & Banana Pudding Milkshakes? Twist My Arm!

Recently, I received a totally generous and completely unexpected invitation to join a group of bloggers at the opening of a beautiful, brand-spanking-new Zaxby’s location in nearby Hartselle, Alabama. It was going to be a quiet evening on the home front and though I don’t consider myself a food blogger in any way, I HAVE put away a Big Zax Snak Meal or two in my time. So, I figured “why not?!” Let me assure you, I made the correct decision.

Like many folks, I tend to go back time and again to trusted menu selections rarely venturing out to try new things. No more!

First off, for those of you who aren’t from around here Zaxby’s is a primarily Southern U.S. based fast food restaurant chain offering up chicken wings, chicken fingers, sandwiches, salads and, as I found out on this night, so much more. I would also come to learn that they actually have over 800 locations in 17 states. Who knew?

Alright, that’s enough lead-in, let’s get to the good stuff. Starting with…Zappetizers!

Zappetizers include items like Fried White Cheddar Bites, Buffalo Dip & Tater Chips, Spicy Fried Mushrooms and…

these Ah-mazing Onion Rings. Just thinking about of the number of times I have eaten Zaxby’s without having these beauties, hurts my heart.

Never fear, those of you who like a little green in your diet or those who just pretend to when you’re feeling guilty about eating all of the carbs (me), they also have these crazy-tasty Zalads.

And lastly, these “thank goodness they were sample size and not the whole thing or I would still be nursing one” milkshakes. You’re looking at Chocolate Cookie, Birthday Cake and Banana Pudding (front to back); I know, right?

Lesson learned? I talk a lot about exploring your world, exploring music and exploring your city. Now adding…explore your menu. Thanks, Zaxby’s!

I received complimentary goods or services in exchange for writing this review. Although this post is sponsored, all opinions are my own.
